Late 1970s Gentillesse Silk Chiffon Floral Dress
Dates to the late 70s to early 80s
Fabricated in a diaphanous floral printed chiffon with a subtle jacquard pattern
Bodice and skirt are fully lined. Sleeves are unlined
Feminine ruffle along the neck
Full length sleeves with elastic at wrists
Comfy elastic waist
Single needle baby hem
Maker: Gentillesse. Designed by Diane Dickinson, known in the 70s and 80s for designing romantic dresses using original prints on European imported chiffons. Her dresses would come with a matching slip and a silk ribbon belt.
Union Label: Red, white and blue AFL-CIO
Condition: Very good. The original silk belt was missing, so I’ve added the double faced silk ribbon belt shown in the photos. See photos. Freshly hand soaked and line dried, arrives clean and ready to wear.
