Late 1950s Plaid Taffeta Dress Black Gold Silver
Lates to the late 50s to early 60s
Fabricated in a black taffeta with metallic gold and silver plaid pattern
Squared neckline with pleated straps that open up across the shoulders
Fitted in the front and back with princess seam darts
Deep V-opening at the back with cascading self streamers finished at the hem.
Fastens with a Talon metal zipper down the side seam.

Maker: Unknown. No labels. Possibly home sewn.
Condition: Good/Very good. I’ve noted a few small reinforced stitches at the outside edge of the strap where it meets the bodice, at the top of the streamers. There is a small fray just above the center back hem. See photos. Freshly dry cleaned, arrives clean and ready to wear.
