This rare 2pc set dates to the mid 40s.

The attached newspaper ad from the Bradenton Herald dates to 01/07/45

Darts over the hips and waist release at the bust and back

Single patch pocket on wearer’s right

Trousers fasten at the side waistband with a single button and two mother of pearl buttons in side vent

Front darts release into thighs

Back fitted with darts

Comfy wide leg with slightly tapered leg.

The 3/8” hem is hand finished with a blind hem

The earliest ad I found these dates to 1943 when they were marketed as pajamas. The 1945 ad that mentions the brown color way markets this as a “slack suit”.
