This rare 2pc set dates to the late 30s to early 40s.
Fabricated in lightweight textured woven cotton with a daisy print in brown with yellow, red and turq centers
2pc set includes a halter top and short that attach at the waist with 2 buttons
The halter top is fitted with princess seams and ties behind the neck and across the back
The shorts Fasten at the side waistband with a single button and 2 snaps at the side placket
They are fitted with four stitched pleats in the front and darts in the back and a single needle 5/8” hem
Maker: Unknown. No labels.
Condition: Very good. Sturdy with no holes, but there is color bleed on the top at the waist and on the shorts along the waist in the enter front and back. See photos. Arrives freshly hand soaked using synthropol to lift some of the bleed and line dried and ready to wear. There was no additional color bleed in my soaks. These are safe to hand wash in a mild detergent.
